Artist Music Play Request

At WVBL Radio, we value up and coming artists, and we do welcome them to submit their music to be considered to be added to our play library.  While we cannot guarantee every artist who submits their music that we will play or promote it, we do try to consider them whenever possible.  Please read the following prior to submitting your music to WVBL Radio. 

MUSIC SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All music submitted must be submitted by the legal artist(s) or their agent; and all music must be 100% legally owned by the artist(s).  By submitting music, you agree with this  policy.  Also, with each track submitted, metadata must be included: Title of song, album title, released date (Copyrighted date or 1st Commerce release date), and song picture.  Metadata is required by our copyright broadcasting licenses. 

Songs with profanity or racial slurs will not be considered.  

OPEN MIC NIGHT SHOWS

Because we have been receiving so many Artists submitting music, we implemented Open Mic Nigh Shows, where Artists can submit 2-3 songs to play on the radio for our next Open Mic Night Show.  These Shows give more opportunities for Artists to get Radio Play Time, and it gives our staff and listeners a chance to vote on whether  the submitted music is a good match for WVBL Radio.  If we at the station believe our listeners will like these new artists, their  music will be added to our Station's Play Library and regular rotation. There is also a possibility that WVBL Radio may offer 1 or 2 Artists from each Open Mic Night Show  for an Advertised Interview Music Show. 

                      WHAT KIND OF SUBMISSION DO WE ACCEPT

We accept all audio formats sent directly to us as long as it has the meta data.  We also accept Drop Box, but we cannot accept Spotify, YouTube and other similar links unless the artist gives us permission to create a copy from such platforms. It is our goal to help upcoming artists, but there are regulations that we as a licensed radio station needs to comply with.  Plus, without proper Metadata, artists may not get credit for their radio play if their music is copyrighted.
